Bragging Rights possibly heading to Sydney; Keith Jardine vs Sam Brown likely main event

Keith Jardine

It looks like Western Australian based promotion K-Oz Entertainment is packing up and heading East for their forthcoming sixth installment in the Bragging Rights series.

Promoter Grady Scott Stewart revealed the news on Facebook Thursday and although no date was included in the revelation, fightnewsaustralia.com understands that late June is being targeted by the promoter.

"I'm looking to Sydney for the next show. K-Oz needs the television exposure to bring the next fight back here to Perth with a bang".

"Perth is home so are the bullies that took the cage from us. That fight is far from over".

The "bullies" Stewart was referring to are The Western Australian state government, who outlawed the use of the cage on March 1 this year. Although the promotion has declared a willingness to host Mixed Martial Arts events in a ring, it would seem for now anyway, Bragging Rights will remain in the cage.

A possible match-up for the Sydney show was also revealed this week with long time UFC fighter Keith Jardine (Pictured) likely to face K-Oz Light-Heavyweight champion Sam "Striker" Brown for the title.

Featherweight Title Fight set for Fury 6: Pat Promrangka vs Suasday Chau

User Rating:  / 0

Pat Promrangka FuryFresh off a quick knockout win over Grant Blackler to capture the Fury Featherweight title, Pat Promrangka (pictured) will make his promotional return on June 8 to face South Australian fighter Suasday Chau.

The interstate match-up was announced by the promotion on Tuesday, and will serve as the main event for the show.

In what was his debut appearance for Fury, it took Promrangka just 1:50 to upset the heavily favored former champion back in mid February at Fury 5. After going into the tilt as a huge underdog, "Warapot" dropped the TUF "Smashes" cast member with a solid right hand before snatching the title with a flurry of punches. With a record of 5-1 in his last 6 appearances, the Impact MMA Gym fighter will be looking to continue his recent form when he meets the Adelaide native.

For Suasday Chau, it was an arm-bar submission win over Fury stalwart Callum Lewis at Fury 5 that earned him a spot opposite the newly crowned Featherweight king. Outside the promotion, Chau last fought at Fightworld Cup 14 where he was beaten by New Zealand's Kairin Moses. After uncharacteristically missing weight for the bout, Chau looked to fade in the second round and was stopped via TKO. This will be his second appearance for Fury.
