Queensland based amateur MMA promotion Aftershock returned to the HAMMA Arena today (March 2) with Aftershock 13.1. The event consisted of thirteen bouts contested over three three-minute rounds and sanctioned by MMA Australasia. The main event featured a welterweight grassroots battle between Mackay MMA's Eddie Trewin and Josh Smith from the Fightcross MMA gym, Smith was successful in the first round with an early rear-naked choke submission.

The next event from Aftershock (Aftershock 13.2) has been scheduled for April 6 at the Mackay PCYC in Queensland.
