Following Stefan Struve's third-round knockout to Mark Hunt yesterday in Japan at UFC on Fuel TV 8, the Dutch heavyweight tweeted an x-ray of the broken jaw he suffered at the hands of Hunt's left hook.
For those wondering, why it looks like the top of his skull looks fractured, well that's actually a suture which is common in all of us.
Struve also tweeted the following immediately after the fight "Thanks for the support everybody, I wanted Herb to take the tooth out of my cheek and continue but then it turned out my jaw was broken." before adding bit later on "45 minutes to the hospital without painkillers.. Man, please choke me out.. Jaw is hurting like crazy.. :("
The 25 year-old heavyweight had his jaw wired in Japan and will shortly return to his native Holland where he is set to undergo surgery to correct.
